1999 Grand Marquis GS Remote Car Keyless Key Fob Issue
 

Hi Everyone, I just bought my son a 1999 Grand Marquis GS. It didn't come with a FOB, but it does have a keyless keypad on the driver's door. I do not have the 5-digit code. I purchased a couple of programmable FOBs off eBay and followed the online programming procedure of inserting the key and turning it to the on position four times. But that procedure isn't working.

Am I missing something here? Are there some GMQs that did not come with FOB capabilities? I've searched online and cannot get a definite answer to that question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For programming key fob(s), but for my 99 MGM I didn't need to wait 2 mins like in video. It just worked immediately.

Thanx for the reply. That procedure is not working with my GMQ. I have scheduled a visit to a local Fold Dealership to program my FOBs and retrieve my Keyless entry code.
