The wipers on my 1999 grand marquis only work on high speed. When
switching to any other speed it sounds like a clicking sound comming from the dash. I am trying unsuccessfully to troubleshoot this problem and would appreicate some assistane. thanks JoeB |
It sounds like a switch to me. I tend to try and stay away from electrical problems. Have you tested the switch?
|
I am not sure how to test it.. And I agree so I guess I will make it a dealer fix..
|
ITS PROBABLY THE WIPER CONTROL MODULE WHICH IS LOCATED UNDER THE DASH RIGHT OF STEERING COLUMN SEE IF THE ORANGE WIRE GOING TO MODULE HAS POWE WHEN PUTTING WIPERS ON LOW THE MODULE HAS 12 WIRES GOING TO IT ALSO THE DARK BLUE WITH WHITE IF THEY HAVE POWER GOING TO MODULE REPALCEMODULE IF NOT REPLACE SWITCHGOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS
|
If I understand your correctly WWEB, the BLUE with white and the
organge are te ones to check for power to determine if it is the switch or the module. Thanks |
YES THIS IS CORRECT
|
Look like it is a dealer fix, I could not find any blue/white wire with
an orange wire connected to the same thing.. From the Fuse there was a brown and green wire.. thanks though. |
