1999 Mercury Grand Marquis Wiper motor
 

What is the orientation of the 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis wiper motor crank in park position.
As seen in my photo, the crank with pin that transmission links to is facing the passenger side as viewed from front of engine
When I start the wipers, the wiper blades are forced down instead of upwards
Should the crank arm with pin be facing the driver side
