2000 Grand Marquis Computer
My 2000 Grand Marquis I was told may need a new computer. I see where you can buy rebuilt ones online already flashed to your cars Vin Number. Just curious if anyone ever took this job on and purchased one online rebuilt or just went to a Junk Yard for one off of another same year Grand Marquis. Just want to get a idea what I would be getting myself into. I tried to read as much as I could online about it. Some are saying it is basically plug and play. Looks to be that way in swapping them out but then I read something about having to get the car keys redone to match the Computer. Don't know what would be involved there. I always added keys to my car on my own programing them by having 2 other programed keys right inside the car.
