Just got a 2000 LS with 73k miles. Parked in drive way last night. Today it won't start at all. Cranks good but won't start, not even a hint. I haven't had a chance to get workshop manuals yet. We had a hard rain last night, any connection. It's got gas. Newest vehicle I've worked on is my '93 F-250 so I'm not familiar with newer cars.

Any hints on where to start looking? If I can't get it going I'll have to have it dragged into a dealer Tuesday. Figures it happens on a Holiday weekend.

Next morning it started right up. Darn - I have it when that happens. Intermittent problems are the worst.

On my 2000 MGM, the Idle Speed Motor went bad, and it became hard starting. The longer I put it off, the worse it got. I finally had it fixed by the Ford dealer. It didn't hurt the wallet too bad. If I recall correctly, it would start and imediately shut right off. If I held the gas pedal down slightly, I could get it to stay running. When it first started acting up, mine was intermitting also.
