Just checking to see if anyone knows how to get the center cap with the mercury emblem on it off the steering wheel. I bought the car used and someone caved it in. I''d like to pop the dent back out, but I don''t want to destroy the cap trying to get it out of the steering wheel.

Rubbing alcohol.. it will disolve the adhesive. Let it work for about ten minutes ion the area. use a spray bottle so you can direct it to the area you need to. This is an old trick used to safely remove decal ans emblems.Also use plenty of protection if you don''t want it to go into other places. Since it does evaporate you should not have to worry about it dammaging area if it does seep into areas

It doesn''t appear to be just a "stick on" type emblem. It''s more the shape of a cup and has two holes in it, one at 3 o''clock and 9 o''clock. Best guess would be that you twist it to get it off. There may be adhesive as well, but it doesn''t look like it.
