2009 GM LS trunk deck panel
 

Hi guys, just had the local LMD replace the trunk release latch on my 2009 Grand Marquis LS. The remote would release the trunk lid, but the latch would not catch the trunk lid to close. Would work OK with the key.

My question is does the LS model come with a carpeted interior trunk deck lid? It sure looks as if one was there, and was not reinstalled. But I don't remember for sure. Thanks.

My 09 MGM doesn't have one. Just the trunk floor & sides have something you might call a carpet. Its kind of flimsy.

Trunk Carpeting
 

The '95 MERC is the GS model, and has a a fully-carpeted Trunk, with carpeted Side-Panels and a fully-carpeted Trunk Lid, with matching Spare-Tire Cover.
Carpeting is a medium-gray color, made of sturdy materials.
25 years old, and still looks very good.
If your Trunk-Lid carpet is missing, try an Auto Recycler by phone or on-line.
