69 Grand Marquis Headlight Warning Buzzer.

1 Attachment(s)
A headlight_ on Indicator light and buzzer system has been added to ford mercury, meteor and thunder bird vehicles to tell the driver that he has left his headlights on.

On the ford mercury and meteor an indicator light, which contains a built in flasher and an indicating buzzer are connected in parallel between the headlight switch and a relay. the relay connects the indicating circuit to ground. the relay in energized by current through the door jamb switch.

from what i have read in my 1969 ford shop manual with no schematic.

Buzzer system: components should be replaced as indicated by diagnosis procedures. the indicator light is located in the safety convenience panel. The buzzer is mounted under the instrument panel to the right of the steering column. The Relay( ford, mercury and meteor only) is mounted under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column.

i know the door jamb switch i was trying to locate the buzzer and relay, i wish i had known about this when i had replaced the headlight switch. Has anyone gotten one of these buzzers to work again? This is all the information i could find.

My mistake- i know the door jamb switch works, it turns the convenience lights on and off but no buzzer.
