70 mph whine

I have a 2002 MGM GS with 81,000 and today i started to get a whine that seems to be connect with the engine at 70 mph. I understand the whine could be present at lower speeds but i can not hear it. I believe the whine comes from the front of the car and it follows the accelerator. Push down it whines, back off it stops.


Just bought the car and am really p-off but want some ideas before it goes back to dealership for repairs.

its most likely the air intake near the throttle body

how loud are you we talking?

its not excessive but its loud enough to be heard while listening to news stations.
