Hiya.
I just bought a 1978 Grand Marquis. It drove fine for 2 days, and then today, I started it up, let it warm up for about 10 minutes, and went to back it out. The needle that indicates whether you are in drive or reverse or park got stuck. I managed to jiggle it back in place, but when I started it again, it backfired twice. Once I got it going, I figured it was okay, but when I drove it to the store, I came back out, tried to start it, got nothing. My roommate came and jumped it for me, and it seemed to be fine, but now it won't start again. Anybody have a guess as to what might be causing this? |
