88 Grand Marquis - Circuit Breaker Issue

Hello, I am new and would like to do my own repair for this issue.

I have an 88 Grand Marquis that is in great condition. While driving, a friend pushed in the rear cigarette lighter. After that, the door locks and power seats no longer worked.

I found this fuse diagram, http://www.superstitiongold.com/linc...se%20Board.jpg

I figured my problem was that I simply needed to buy a new 30amp circuit breaker for the 12 slot. I removed the old cd (which was extremely hot) and had caused the battery to drain completely over a couple days.

I put the new cb in today, and I could hear the circuit breaker clicking every few seconds. I popped off the cap, and could see the piece connect and then disconnect. When connected, I could briefly use the power seats and restore the use of the locks, but then it would disconnect again.

Right now, there is no circuit breaker in, and the car works fine, but I would like to figure out how to get it in a fix the problem. Could it be connected to another problem with the voltage regulator? The alternator, starter, and battery are all fine.

Thanks for any and all help!
