Will transmission out a 2006 or 2007 work in a 2005 grand marquis ultimate edition

 

The transmissions for the 2005, 2006, and 2007 Grand Marquis are identical -- and interchangeable with no problems.
When changing transmissions, ALWAYS change the Trans Filter(s) -- Use MERCON V Trans Fluid -- DO NOT OVER-FILL !!

2006 and up I was told ford added an RPM sensor I guess I can just leave that unplugged

 

What is the part name for the "RPM Sensor" ??
There is no such part listed for the 2005, 2006, or the 2007 Grand Marquis.

I have a 2005 it doesn't have one 06 and up do.

They all have the Panther chassis and running gear. Should be the same for each year.
