It was a LOT of work. I don't recommend it for the typical DIY'er. I only would recommend it to someone with above par skills & photographic memory skills! Airbags, all the wiring for all dash, gauges, radio, lights, computer, and also all the air duct system. It was QUITE the job. Required two workers on it for over 6 hours.

just getting the instrument cluster out is a big enough pain. This I know from both my wife's 93 and my 88.

I have left the plug out myself once. I think just about anyone who has a boat forgets about the plug at least once in their lives. What did you catch the whites on?

Nice job, ACM. I'd like to pick your brain a little. The in-dash video installation; did you have to make any modifications to make either unit itself (i.e. depth behind dash), or the screen fit?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Thank you!

Yes, there was some modification done to the air conditioning blower box (dremel FTW) to fit the in-dash double-din TV in there. The plastic was trimmed away to make the tv fit, and then epoxy was used to fill in the relief cuts we had made.

There are quite a few more videos of this Merc on my YouTube account, so swing by and check them out:

I'm in the process of uploading some of his rap tunes to there as well. Leave us some feedback & comments & ratings! Trying to get the car exposed ALL OVER THE WORLD man. Need to do everything we can to get it into a few magazines!

Thanks Mercury Forum!!!!!!!!!!

Massachusetts would be quite a drive. In addition to my steering wheel, I would really like to have my drivers side seat bottom redone. I dont think Chrysler carries the leather covers for the WJs anymore.
