Adding an AUX input jack to my radio.

Adding an AUX input jack to my radio. Has any one figured out how to wire their radio to do this? Plenty of videos online for other radios / cars where there are obvious solder points where you can solder your aux jack and wires, but I can't find info on this car / radio.

I just bought a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis Ultimate with the single cd and cassette player, but without an auxiliary input port . No satellite is included.

Thanks for any help.

Don't know, but I'm sure it can be done. Shouldn't be too difficult with a wiring diagram. Having said that, I don't think I, myself, would do it. Unless you're trying to preserve the OEM integrity of your interior, I would say just about any aftermarket head unit will be better in every way. Aside from the Ford-green lighting, the OEM radio doesn't match the interior that well anyway, and there's no CAN-BUS to worry about either...the radio switches off with the key--1970's style.

Thanks, and i guess that I agree. I am adding an amplified system where my phone is the stereo system. Bluetooth receiver, amplifier and new speakers. Visually minimal and should sound much better. I may even be able to add some extra storage above the new amplifier. Not even sure where to place a large cup of coffee in this car but still, love the car!
