I have a 2000 MGM LS w/ 72000 miles.....just recently noticed that my front passenger side is starting to lean. I check all tire pressure i even jacked the car up disconnected both shocks from the lower end then let the car back down to see if it would be a shock. not sure if that is 100% way of checking shocks but couple people said if u do that and let the car back down it would even out....but low and behold it was still leaning with both shocks disconnect from the bottom....now for the other problem tranny shifts funny from 3rd to 4th at about 40 mph was told a sensor?

n e info would be greatly appreciated....thanx in advanced

does your car have the air suspension? if it does check to see if it is working right. have you changed the trans fluid lately? that helped mine shift better.

Sounds like the coil spring, more like the shock. I you take the shock out completely, the car will hold its level. The shock absorber is suppose to, well, absorber the shocks.

I would check the upper mount. Could be that it is loose, or dislocated.

If it was the shock, and in combination with a weak spring, you should hear a mushy sound when pushing down on the fender, or even see a leak (at oil shocks).

On rare occasions you hear about a broken coil spring, another thing which can easily checked visually.

Greetings!
