i am going to go with headers, and dual 2.5" pipes with the h-pipe, and 2
good cats since the emissions testing is so strict here in ontario. I''''m looking
for a good deep tone thats really loud when i stopm on it. Good flow comes
in close second behind sound of course. So now i have a
single thrush stainless muffler which sounds ok but i''''m wondering how
magnaflow or some of the other styles work on these motors. Of course the
headers and duals will louden things up quite a bit to.

what price range do you want to stay in? also have you ever thought about electronic cutouts. they are a piece that goes on after the headers and when you flip a switch they bypass the exhaust to a non resitictive hole that does not go through the cats or mufflers. this way you can keep the current exhaust or a different one and use this for racing. is is loud because it would be open headers. but the cool thing you can open and close it when ever you want at a push of a button. they give you about 10 hp gain amd sound way cool. ley me know what price you want to stay in and if you want cutouts?

well here in canada it would probly cost close to 800-1000 for what i want.
I don''t know what it costs in the US. I will probly stick with the regular
dualys with out the cutouts, sound like a cool idea but the simpler the better
for now. I live right accross the river from michigan and i hear there are
some really good exhast places close by. As for price range, i am willing to
pay whatever it costs for a descent quality, simple exhast, that works and
sounds good. Most importantly I want some mufflers that will finish it off
and sound deep, throaty, and fairly loud, cuz i know the rest of the exhaust
should do its part. And good flow is something i would like to keep in mind
behind sound.

Thanks again jason

I have always like the well rounded " FLOWMASTER 40 series." They have a nice throaty sound and great performance. They also last.

make sure you get the 40 series. anything else is not loud enough

flowmaster 40''s it is. i''ve heard thas the way to go for the 5.0.

it is a muffler that works with many cars and models. you can go online to the flowmaster site and listen to the mufflers and see the differmnce between all of them.
