< src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" =text/> </> Quite interesting: Thus many switches and plugs are different within the Ford/Lincoln/Mercury family, the plugs for the corner lights are not on some models. To be more specific: My '92 MGM does not have corner lights. I got the complete wiring harness, but haven't checked it out yet whether it fits, and works, or not. Anyway, by getting my Explorer ready for winter, I had to replace a bulb. When tracing the harness back to the plug behind the fender, I happen to find out that it is identical to the ones on the corner lights from my MGM. Snapped right in. Now I have to check whether I can get power on the separate outlet. I could then add corner lights to my Explorer. Am not aware of any ever offered on them, or on the Mountaineer. Yeah, interesting, isn't it? Hard enough, if not impossible, to find the right counter-plugs, i.e. to build your own harness, hook up trailer wiring or something like that. And here they must have had some leftovers. Greetings! |
