cruise control on the blink

Hello All, this is my first time using the forum. I have an '03 Marquis, the cruise control was intermittantly working and now it doesn't work at all. Any ideaS??

Could be a circuit. Check your fuses and make sure they're okay.

Check for corrosion in both fuse blocks . Do other accessories on the same circuit still work? I would check the electrical ground assigned to this circuit. In fact, I would check all body grounds. Has the car been in an accident? Visually check the throttle connections. Is there a vacuum hose missing or decayed? Does everything move without binding? Does the horn work. I had a Ford Escort with a bad horn circuit ground and after I fixed that, the cruise control started working.
