Dual exhaust setup Grand Marquis 2004
Hey Folks
I had a dual exhaust fitted to my 04 MGM LS. For those wanting to know what worked: Walker Walker Exhaust Pipe | WAL 50326 H-PIPE for CV Walker Walker Exhaust Tail Pipe | WAL 56111 tailpipe Walker Walker Exhaust Tail Pipe | WAL 56112 tailpipe Your choice of muffler I chose: Flowmaster 71416 2.50 In(C)/Out(C) Flow Fx Muffler, Round, 14, brushed (x2) it now sounds like this: Go speak to the shop you want to use and explain what you want. Speak to the person with the most experience. Not the kid. Choose an independent shop...many of the chains do not like to do custom unless they sell you the parts. |
Dual Exhaust Setup
Hello, Steel, and welcome to the Mercury Forums --
I gotta say, Yours is the best-sounding installation that I have EVER heard from that Hillbilly Muffler Shop. Most all of their installs are MUCH TOO LOUD, as most Anti-Noise Ordinances generally prohibit sounds above 95 db. The famous 95 MERC also runs Walker H-Pipe, and Walker Tailpipes -- with MAGNAFLOW # 18134 (2" Inlet/Outlet) Glasspacks. This set-up gives me a powerful sound -- with NO DRONING after long distances at freeway speeds (70-90 mph). I'm set up for long-distance, high-speed cruising through the deserts and mountains of the American West. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mer...4bb0ae04f0.jpg Walker H-Pipe; MagnaFlow 2" Glasspax ; Walker Tailpipes -- Adds 22-24 Horsepower over stock (single) exhaust. |
Hey Merc, Thanks but I did not use exhaust addicts but I used the same parts they used and got the same effect as in this video. The biggest deal for this was using the flowmaster flow fx 2.5.
I'm in the Austin area and went to Muffin Mufflers, an independent shop...They do great work. Thanks again for the comments. |
