I put 12inch subwoofers in the trunk of my 97 Marquis, 300 watt amp - no big deal, or so i thought.

then i found after a week or so that if i turned up the speakers too much it would reset the enertia valve, - no big deal - just pop the trunk and reset the switch.

then 2 days ago the car died at idle, when i didn't have subs up loud, i assumed it was the enertia valve, but the switch wasn't tripped.

since then i have swapped out the altenator, recharged the battery, and i am now at a total loss. . . . . PLEASE IF ANYONE HAS ANY THOUGHTS, PLEASES LET ME KNOW.

i think you killed the inertia switch. every time youturn that system up, the car thinks it's rolling over.
