installing a rebuilt trans o7 can i program it with forscan

Default installing a rebuilt trans o7 can i program it with forscan

I was told i had to reprogram by some guy after the install . the company i wanted to by from said i did not have to go to the dealer to program anything what a guy from the company told me i just need to reset the adaptive tables does that make sense? i have the scan tool and the software

I worked in a transmission shop I never had to reprogram one yet it should learn the shifts on its own.

We just took them out and drove them. We had the batteries disconnected to so maybe that did a reset. Depending on the years to you might have to but I haven't had to do anything yet.

You should have no problems with re-programming your 2007's Transmission with the Forscan software -- if by "re-programming" you mean to tune your shift points for better strip times or fuel mileage.
You will need a tool to attach a Laptop to the OBD2 Port:

If you just wanna use the factory shift points, nothing needs adjusting. It's plug & play !!
