An Introduction

Greetings! I am a 20 year old car enthusiast, and I have recently inherited a green(ish) 2000 Grand Marquis (GS) Palm Beach Edition. As far as options go, the car has leather, and that's about it (and I believe that was just part of the PB package).

As far as my car history, I have owned a 1999 MB CLK320, which I sold with 232,000 miles on it, and an '07 MB C230 SS. The Grand Marquis is going to be a project car. It runs well, but it doesn't exactly fit the persona of a guy in his 20s. I would like to paint the car black, get some Marauder wheels, convert to a dual exhaust, suspension, etc... A couple of questions I have: What kind of work am I looking at to remove the vinyl top, and what should I expect to find underneath? For the suspension, am I better off trying to get Marauder parts, or should I just go aftermarket.

I thoroughly look forward to learning and contributing what I can to this forum. I am not new to forums, so I will try to mind my forum etiquette.

Andrew
