When I accelerate my marquis will stall out I don't have an engine light .and it also seems to like have a slight miss on acceleration but yet no codes.any one can help me out?
A "miss" with no codes -- AND a stumble on acceleration indicates inadquate fuel supply.
REPLACE fuel filter with Motorcraft # FG1114
Check fuel pump pressure at the fuel rail.
Check Fuel Pressure Regulator, replace if doubtful. -- Motorcraft #CM4861 Mallory Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator -- Set to 35 Lbs. @ 750 rpms., Hot Idle.
The Mallory Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator is rebuildable -- but is no longer available.
I bought the rebuild parts and rebuilt the regulator myself.
