New member, new purchase?

Hi everyone!

Looking to pick up an MGM soon, was planning on a lower mileage, well taken care of iteration. Came across a 2010 182K mile example for $3k, spent first 12K as a rental, spent the rest as a 20K/year car getting serviced every 5-7K miles.
What kind of reliability issues or upcoming necessary maintenance/parts replacement am I looking at with this high mileage of a panther? Thanks!

With 182k, I would start looking at worn suspension, transmission maint., fuel pump, brakes, timing chain/guides, water pump failure and other possibilities you would find on a high mileage car. I would pay a trusted mechanic to examine the car and provide you with a condition report and check with a scan tool. It is difficult to advise w/o the examination. You may be able to negotiate the price depending on what is needed. Good luck with your purchase.

Appreciate the reply, and thanks for the info! I was curious if there was anything specific to the panther platform that is known to fail around this time, but I guess at that high of a mileage the car is ready for a refresh of sorts.
