Put some new shoes on the old MGM. Hankook H714's in size 235/60-16. They are quiet and stable when it's dry and very sure footed in heavy rain. I'm not usually impressed by "cheap" tires (~$400 mounted and balanced), but I have been pleasantly surprised by these.

Just sharing the experience.

 

I've used the stock discount tire specials (Dominator) in 215/70r15 and have no complaints.

The Kumoh tires in the same price bracket are good too.

I usually come out under $400... usually round $360-380.
