No acceleration
My 2005 Grand Marquis turns on but will not accelerate as if it's not getting any gas but I can idle up to 20 miles an hour and can even go up hills. It is not my throttle body or my accelerator pedal position sensor. Please help me

I would check for any codes. See what your fuel pressure is at the rail. You may have to get creative as there is no longer a shrader valve to connect to. Has your fuel filter been changed lately? Lastly, even a restricted converter can create symptoms as you describe.

The converter is part of the exhaust. It tends to plug up over time. See if it gets really hot sometimes they start to glow from the heat.

My two converters was stolen. The co1 co2 sensors r not even hooked up

If it were me, I would restore your G.M. back to its original state. I can't see how the engine can run efficiently without the feedback from your O2 sensors. It may not totally resolve your issue but you have to have a starting point so that it can be effectively diagnosed.Right now the computer doesn't know what to do. It could be dumping more fuel or cutting it back a lot.

Thanks

I've found that if you put things back the way Mr. Mercury made 'em, the cars damned near fix themselves. Good luck !! https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mer...177a15f4d5.jpg 95 MERC at Flaming Gorge, Utah. US 191 at South end of the Gorge. |
That's just it. I do not know what all has been changed

You have to at least TRY to get the rig back to stock -- so as to use a scope/code reader to determine what's wrong with the "acceleration". https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mer...d8bb92bac3.jpg 95 MERC Engine Bay |
