Running an outdated forum is just asking for spambots. The webmaster should either upgrade to the latest Web Wiz version, or if money is an issue, switch to something free that has tools to combat spambots, like SMF. From the looks of things, the latest requests for moderation have been ignored, so I don''t know if anything will be done soon. I hope so, since I''ve been looking for a good Mercury forum.

 

I don''t understand why the **** spammers like the Grand Marquis section so much. Must be the big back seat. LOL!!! If someone gets through to the powers that be, tell them to add the Topaz to the forum. I don''t know why it wasn''t here to start with.

 

After reporting quite a few posts, I got an email from an admin. The admins are aware of the spam and are working on the problem.

Here''s a tip for everyone: the best way to get the attention of the mods and/or admins is to report an offending post. Just click on the report button in the post and fill out the form. Your report is sent out as a broadcast message that goes out to all mods for that board.

 

one of the admins has let me know that the admin tools are not all working properly and they are working on getting that fixed. maybe after that gets fixed, the rest will fall in line. I''ll stick it out here and see if things improve.

 

It is still depressing that the admin won''t post information to the forum so that we know what is going on, are they unwilling to face the music and post to us? IM-ing individuals and having them post answers seems..... chicken-sh*t to me.

 

*shrugs* got me, personally I''d make a post on the forum if I was an admin, but I guess everyone has their own way of doing things.
