Pesky P0453 code! please help
 

1997 mercury grand marquis 85k super clean..aka goldy locks..
ISSUE..
P0453 Evap Emission Control System Pressure Sensor High Input

Well my car gave off a p0453 code so I went ahead and changed the fuel tank pressure sensor.. not hard but not fun, all with no change I still have the same cell and the always fun check engine light:rolleyes:

Not sure if this has anything to do with this but...the check light/p0453 came on right after a front driver side lower ball joint took a dump while drivinghttp://www.grandmarq.net/vb/images/smilies/eyecrazy.gif the tire took out the inner fender plastic linner. The fuel tank pressure sensor(that i changed) monitors the pressure in the fuel system, So my next question would be IS THERE ANY KIND OF VACCUME LINEs or anything fuel related that could of got messed up or disconnected with the tire taking out the inner fender linner??? the pig tail on the sensor is intact..so im kind of stumpt here..

Well it turned out to be an electrical grimlin,I went thru the harness behind the driver tire and found 3 severed wires and two hanging by a limb..:rolleyes: its fixed now,no check light and back to its boat like ride..:D
