I know this might be a stupid question, but does my 87 Mercury Grand Marquis LS have a limited - slip differential standard? Also, what is the gear ratio if it does? |
doorboat; Look up crownvic.net. There are many more members on that forum. They cover the Town car, the Grand Marquis and the Crown Victoria automobiles. They may be able to answer any question you may have. |
if you call any ford dealership, with the VIN, they can tell you every option that the car came with.

or jack up the back end. and spin one wheel. if the other wheel spins in the oppsite direction you do not have ls. (i believe that is correct)

No Mercury Grand Marquis has a limited-slip differential as STANDARD equipment. The limited-slip diff is a factory OPTION.
The STANDARD equipment is an OPEN differential with a 2.73 : 1 gear ratio. With the 4-speed Automatic transmission, the 2.73 gear will give you 80 mph at 2000 rpm. |
