well... i recently had my tranny rebuilt and a "superior" shift kit put in... shifts really hard at WOT but when it shifts theres a squeal thats sounds like the belt... ive tried STP belt dressing but still it does it... any help?

typical noise from a rebuilt transmission.my rebuilt trans makes a belt type squeal noise also. it does it real bad if i bump the transmission pressure up more for later shifts. it has something to do with the pump and fluid pressure.

What is WOT? I've had two rebuilt trannies in my Camoros I had in high school. Both w/shift kits. Never heard anything but the tires squealing hitting second.

bump pressure up???i talked to the guy that did my tranny and he said that it has nothing to do with the transmission... but it didnt do this before i had it rebuilt...WOT is wide oprn throttle...

my car is doing the same thing? it is a 1998 mercury grand police car. let me know if you find out what this is. jcsereiko@comcast.net. the car also takes a second to go into gear when I take it out of park and put it in drive. I am taking all ideas on how to fix this
