Yes, the Grand marquis and crown vic are 0-60 times is 9.4 seconds , 1/4 mile time is 17.4 seconds.

The lincoln Town car is 0-60 times 10.2 and 17.5 in the 1/4 mile

In 1992, one year later the cars got faster. that year they picked up to 17.1 in the 1/4 mile. This was mostly due to a better exhaust.

You have a slow car. Lets not fool yourself here. i am doing a 5.0 engine budget build. Check it out next week when it is finished and do something to you car to put it in the 15 second range! It will be easy and cheap. I will have a complete engine rebuild and a already running engine with bolt on parts that will hopefully make 300 h.p that anyone can afford!

my 0-60 is like 10.5-11 seconds timed by my watch with the engine temp
up at its highest normal point so when its cooler it''ll probly be quicker.
Thats a good gauge for me. Thanks.Maybe its time for new plugs and i
can look past my butterfly and see a bunch of carbon in there all over. Put
on a new air and fuel filter though which pepped er up a little. 15 second
range sounds sweet for quarter mile, can''t wait to see your 5.0 build!

have you ever thought about nitros?

I know alot of people are against nitros. But it is really safe and cheap. it is all computer fail safe now. you can add 100 h.p for under500 bucks and it can all be hooked up in 3 hours with no engine mods. it will not affect emission stuff and can be used only when you need it.

Just something to think about...I use it and love it. it is only bas when you get to greddy and add to much power on a stock motor. A stock motor like the 5.0 can easliy handle 125 shot of nitros.

let me know if you want to look at certain kits, I can point you in the right direction

wow, i never really thought of using nitros in the old merc. for now i will
spend my money wisely on power that is there all the time, and good sound.
but someday when i get out of school and into a career, look out, i''ll be
doing a ton to this merc. And nitros will be one thing that i will probably do
if i get into taking it to the track for sure, or like you say, 100hp sitting there
if you need it when you need it.
