Default Voltage regulator

What is the location of the voltage regulator on a 95 grand Marquis? It’s not in the alternator and I don’t see it on firewall. Someone suggested that it may be on a radiator mount near the battery. I did locate a black box on the drivers side fender well. Thanks

Default '95 Grand Marquis Voltage Regulator

The '95 Merc Grand Marquis parts listing at RockAuto shows 2 different Voltage Regulators.
My '95 MERC (built MAY, '95) has the VoltReg on the BACK side of the Motorcraft alternator, near the bottom. It has a 3-wire, plug-in connector. Be CERTAIN that the VoltReg is NOT mounted on the alternator before looking further.

The alternative Motorcraft part is not mounted on the alternator, and it has a flat-blade-type connector.
Here's a pic of the flat-blade type: The pics should help you find your regulator.

The lower pic is the Voltage Regulator that mounts on the back side of the Alternator.
