Window Regulator motor? 2004 Grand Marquis

Intermittent passenger side window will not function. Occurs using either driver or passenger side switch. Sometimes driver side works passenger window and sometimes passenger side works. When not operating, there is no motor noise. Could it be motor for regulator? Can motor be rebuilt? Thanks very much.

I think you are right about this being a motor, based on my experience with a Ford I once owned. I have never heard of a power window motor being rebuilt.
I wish car makers would bring back hand cranks for windows - how often did you see them fail?

Think I figured it out.

Thanks for your help.
I replaced front passenger switch with rear window switch, window appeared to work ok. Now I am looking at the Drivers side switch however several months ago I bought a new Dorman switch from Advance Auto. At any rate, I returned drivers side switch to Advance, received replacement, installed it.........It works. Thanks for your help.
