Default 2005 Mercury Mariner Problem

I have a 2005 Mercury Mariner. It started out by making a loud clunk
sound every now and then, but now it seems like something is binding
up to the point where the vehicle doesn't want to move. When I'm parked
on a slight slope and put the vehicle in neutral it will even stop on
it's own. I get noise coming from the passenger side front wheel. I
jacked the front passenger side up but can't turn the wheel. Right now
I feel the car is undriveable. Anybody have any ideas what the problem
might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Didn't get any replies. That's ok. I jacked it coompletely off the ground and found out the noise was coming out of the transmission. Just my luck. $$$$$$$$
