Hello Everyone
#1
Hey guys and gals,
I'm a new Mariner owner. Completely different from my last car -a Honda S2000. I hope more people sign on an start talking about this car. I think it's one of the best SUV's on the road right now.
Has anyone done any car audio work on their car? If so, I'd love to see pictures on how you did it and discuss.
Talk to you all soon.

I think you and I are the only two Mariner owners that have found this site so far. I haven't done any audio work; my wife's Mariner has the 6-disc changer in it; it sounds decent to her, so I doubt I'll change it. I would like to put a better air filter in it, maybe a K&N universal and create my own heatshield. I would also like to get a borla or mangaflow dual exhaust. Both of those will help her mpg and fun factor.

Sounds like you've got a plan. I'm probably not going to make any performance upgrades to the car. I did that last time and regretted it when I went to resell the car. IMO it's not worth it.
We'll, I'll keep checking up on the forum to see if anyone new finds this site. I hope they do.
Good luck MarinerTX!

I have a 2005 mariner premier. it has v/6 tow package leather seats and the parchment /cloth insert.Iinstalled a k&n air filter with 100 miles on it it now has 3,500 miles. I get 22/27.5 mpg as it stands now. no preformance up grades. I live in deland florida.
Has anyone noticed that the ford escape and the mazda tribute with the v/6 have 4 wheel disc brakes while the mariners only have drum in rear .the 4cyl has drum rear anyone else notice this?
I use the k&n in the airfilter area
I used the ford .com site and researched the ford escape specs and the ford site mazda tribute site to check the specs on this information
