1968 Mercury Montego MX
 

Greetings, I have a 1968 Mercury Montego MX convertible and I had just a few questions for anyone out there who may know.

I am buying some new rear leaf springs for my Montego and I've been struggling to find which brand or specs to go with. The back is very heavy with the convertible mechanism and completely bottoms out with passengers, so I want something stronger/higher than factory spec just for comfort and longevity. The leafs on there right now are the original 4-leaf springs and have likely run their course.

Good day - I personally wouldn't replace the leaf springs, rather I'd chose the route of air shocks. My two $. Good luck.
