does anyone know if the gas tankfuel levelsending unit from a 1961 monterey will fit a 1960 monterey? the car i bought came without one and i haven''t called the previous owner yet to see if he has it, butassuming that he doesn''t, i''ve looked up sending units and the only ones i could find said they fit 1961, but didn''t list 1960. the part for those# is C2AZ9275DR and from the image it looks like it would be the correct fit, but i don''t want to spend $65 only to realize it doesn''t fit. i called an auto supplier, and the part number they gave me is different, but i can''t find for the life of me find one with that number; so i''m hoping a 1961 will fit, but any help anyone has to offer is appreciated...

 

heck, since you''re trying to fix the tank as well, you might try to find out of the 61 tank will fit as well and just get the whole thing off another car. From the pictures I''ve seen on-line the body looks the same so I would guess that the tanks are the same and the sending unit would be the same as well (or at least the same physical size for fit).
