I have a 05 monterey and have code p0401 showing. From auto zone they say it is the EGR. Is there anything I can do with it before I try and replace the EGR valve? Can I clean it? Is there any sensors or anything? Please help. Thanks.

 

I would make sure that is the right prob for the code. I doubt the EGR bit the dust already in an '05. Maybe a vaccuum or EGR related prob. There are links for code i.d.ing on here somewhere.
