06 Mntnr brake vibration

I have an 06 mountaineer that has some vibration when the brakes are applied at any speed. It is getting a little worse each week and the steering wheel will shake but stops as soon as I let off the brake. It rides smooth as glass until the brakes are applied, is this just a warped rotor? It is under warranty but I have heard they they do not cover something like this because it's a wear item and they only cover the hydraulics, if you have any suggestions before I call the dealer please let me know. Thanks a ton in advance.

It sounds like a bad rotor or two see if you can get the rotors cut before you change them out.

cut or turned (two terms for the same service). but if it's badly warped, there may be a problem with the brake calipers. might have the dealer check it under warranty, but tell them not to do any work that will cost you any out of pocket money and they should tell you what needs to be fixed. then you can shop it around for best price at places you trust.
