Default 2003 V8 AWD Injector issue

Hello,

So my wife had someone from her work (she works for a fleet mechanics company) look at our Mountaineer and he told her that the injector housing was cracking.

I have looked and looked and looked online and can not find anything for a fuel injector housing to even get a price idea. I asked a friend of mine and he said it could be the intake manifold its self that the guy was talking about

So my question.... what the heck do I need to be looking at getting or doing to fix this?!?!?! If its the manifold can it be machined to fix? Or is it another part all together?

Do your self a real favor break down and pay to have someone familiar with mountaineers or GM engines look at your problem. I will give this one to you for free, the injectors are inserted into the intake manifold with boots if the housing around any particular injector was cracking he should be able to indicate which injector the cracking was occurring at. This is unlikely because cracking around an injector housing is not a " thing " unless you attack the upper part of the engine with a ball peen hammer. Now cracking of the intake manifold around the engine block is more likely overheating could cause cracking or the gasket has let loose because the crack compromised that part of the intake manifold gasket if this is the case then a new intake manifold and gasket would be the best option at this point.
