Can someone tell me if parts will interchange on a 2005 and 2006 mountaine.

I worked in a transmission shop for bout 8 years if there's a plug it's there for a reason. It's sending information back to the computer in witch will cause a check engine light to come on and possibly not shift right. I'm not sure what plug your talking about but I'd make sure the trans are identical.
