I have a 97 mountaineer and the check engine light recently went off. I went to get the computer read and it gave me something like this "mass air flow in the egr" So a friend of mine had said that I would need to either replace the EVR valve or the DPFE. He said that since the car still maintained exceptional performance, that the actual EGR valve could not have went on me. So if anyone could help, it would be much appreciated.

I havesimilar problem, the code reads DTC p0401 EGR flow insufficient. let me know what you have done to fix it. Thanx
