I just bought a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer with 5.0 V8 engine. How do I know if it is all wheel drive?

Just look underneath if it has a front axle is it all wheel drive. Some v-6's had the selector but all v-8's had all wheel drive unless it was a 2 wheel drive model.

Ok, thanks, I was looking all over for AWD on the outside frame.
