in case you didnt read my first post, this one is a problem i experienced with my '06 V6 AWD Mountaineer and managed to finally solve...

When braking, there was an additional noise and feeling through the pedal, as though something was dragging/rough on the brake discs. the sound was misleading, since it seemed as though it came from the front. The agency when through a long cycle of cleaning &replacing pads and front discs. They wanted to say it was the tiresuntil finally i took it to another agency whoclaimed it was uneven wear on my rearbrake pads, which they replaced and the noise was eliminated.

I dont know if this was the true cause, although, i'd love to read from other owners who experienced the same.
