Hi All!!

I am 39 years old and have had my 1998 Ford Explorer for 170,000 miles now and it is still running as good as new. A friend of the family just passed away and she is willing to sell me his 2003 Mercury Mountaineer for $15,000. she says she is doing me a favor at that price because I was friends with the family. it is the 4.6 V8 Premiere package. It has been garage kept. I can't even find a nick in the paint. The interior has never been smoked in and is in showroom condition. My question would be is this a good deal? And more importantly am I buying a sound quality vehicle comparable to the Ford Explorer?

Thanks for any input anyone can give:

Stefanie

My '03 has a few quirks, but Ford is infamous for some elctrical issues. I have about 65,000 miles on mine and I am overall very happy with it. I have V6 Luxury and it has everything I need

Thanks....I have been sooo happy with my Ford Explorer that I really wouldn't get rid of it. However, with 170,000 miles on it I have to be looking at my end game. This opportunity just seems terrific...I was just hoping people were happy with their Mountaineers. You don't see too many of them on the road!!!!!

i think $15,000 is a little to expensive. you should try to get them to go down to like 12500-13000. thats just my though
