I just bought aused'02 mercury mountaineer equipped with the keyless entry keypad on the driver's door. can anyonetell me wherein the vehicle can i locate the code for the keypad.Also How do I enter the code into the keypad.

Check under the dashboard on the drivers side if it is listed anywhere in a vehicle if not you will have to see your dealer to have the code retrieved. Once you know the code all you do is enter it when the doors are locked and it will unlock the drivers door.

Yeah the owner's manual has a section on it.


I just got a used 02 myself and had to contact the dealer for the code. Its going to be a great feature for the summer. Now when I run out to play ball I can leave the keys in the car!

With the Keyless Entry, you can leave your keys in the car, but be sure they are OUT OF SIGHT !!
As a carreer car thief said -- Locks are for HONEST people !!
