No park or reverse
 

I have a 2006 mercury mountaineer with transmission problems. It started when I had a seizure while driving and ended up mating the gas pedal. My wife had no other option but to throw it in park and let that slow us down. Now the problem is we have no reverse or park setting, has all forward gears though. I'm trying to figure out if it needs a complete new transmission or if the there is something cheaper and easier to do. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
