I Just bought a 2002 Mountaineer - SWEET!!! It only came with one set of keys and the remote "Unlock" switch does not work. Does anyone know how I can order another set of keys and two remote sets? Thanks!!!

 

You can order them on ebay and save a ton. Search 2002 Mercury Mountaineer key...and it will come up

 

For the 2005 Mountaineer, you need 2 pre-programmed keys to program another. If you don't have 2 programmed keys, you have to take your new blank key to the dealer for programming. You should still find the blanks on ebay & get them cut prior to going to the dealer.


For the remote I don't think it matters.
