Just bought a 99 Moutaineer and noticed water laying in the glove box (not alot but enough to damage anything in it). I had a reliable body shop check it out and they think it is a drain tube from the sunroof that is allowing water to find it's way to an area just above the airbag and drip into the glove box. The windshield is not leaking. Has anyone had this issue? https://www.mercuryforum.com/smileys/smiley16.gif

I definatly believe that a blocked moonroof drain could be your problem as they get older the drains do get plugged..

I have a 98 Mountaineer that leaks water from the top of the
windshield, but I don't think it is the windshield that is causing the leak. The water drips from the overhead digital readout, and above both the driver and passenger front seats where the windshield meets the fabric. Any ideas? Cordially, Eric Dixon South Carolina |
CHECK SUNROOF DRAINS WILL HAVE TO LOWER FRONT OH HEADLINER TO SEE PROBABLY FELL OFF OR BROKE COMMON PROBLEM
