Does anyone know of a reputable place aside from tire rack or discount tire to get cheap, good tires? They seem to be about the best I''ve found but if someone knows of a better place let me know. The dealer wants my blood and first born for tires saying that they want $998 mount and balanced, ridiculous . Anyway, thanks in advance....

I generally go to discount tires myself. They''re not always the least expensive, but the flats I''ve had fixed for free there make up for it.

I would check Sears.

On my MGM: The sold me Firestones with A-rating for temperature and traction for $65, installed. Not even Discount Tire can beat that.

On my Explorer (I have Premium Wheels, 275s and 16"): I got GoodYears for $95 a piece.

You have to check their webpage. They don''t have them in stores, I was told that they don''t carry them anymore (Firestones). However, I ordered them on their website, they were shipped free to my local Sears, and they put them on.

Greetings!
